This proposal aims to allocate an additional 500,000 NERDS tokens to the climate research funding pool to support more environmental projects and accelerate climate solutions research.
Motivation
Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. By increasing funding for climate research, we can accelerate the development of innovative solutions and support more researchers working on environmental challenges.
I strongly support this proposal. Climate research is critical and we've seen excellent results from previously funded projects. The ROI on environmental research has been outstanding.
While I agree climate research is important, I'm concerned about the impact on treasury reserves. Have we considered a phased approach with smaller initial allocation?
The data shows climate projects have 89% success rate vs 76% average. This is a smart investment. I suggest we also establish metrics for tracking impact.
